Digitex Canada Inc. Footprint Expanded with Acquisition and Merger Completed
Imatron Office Solutions and Continental Imaging now Digitex Sales and Service Locations
Red Deer, AB – June 1, 2017 - Digitex Canada Inc. completed its acquisition of Imatron Office Solutions and Continental Imaging by rolling the companies into its main brand today, streamlining business processes and allowing the new Saskatchewan locations to benefit from Digitex Canada Inc.’s support network. The change comes after the December acquisition of Imatron Office Solutions and Continental Imaging by Digitex Canada Inc. and following the plan of folding the companies under the parent brand to align with the fiscal year end.
The original timeline for the changeover (5-months) was met without issue, as very few areas of either company were impacted by the additional tasks present during co-ordination of an acquisition and merger. Challenges faced throughout this process included large-scale upgrades to IT infrastructure and equipment, automation of data capturing (meter-reads), and merging inventory, systems and accounting. The upgrades and additional support network that come of this change will directly benefit existing and future Saskatchewan clients. The most impacted clients from this change include large businesses with offices across the two provinces who will now realize the benefit of an expanded service footprint under one roof. Additionally, any clients in Saskatchewan currently holding service contracts with the former Imatron Office Solutions will not only have local stock to supply their orders but also the support of Digitex Canada Inc.'s head office located in Red Deer. This location consists of an on-site warehouse for all consumable and serviceable replacement parts, preventing rush orders from distributors across North America. This extensive access to much more local parts and supplies will ensure clients have maximum uptime with their office equipment and decreased service interruptions.
In addition to a stronger support offering for Saskatchewan, Digitex Canada Inc. will be providing its Managed Print Services (MPS) and Document Solutions offerings to the Saskatoon and Regina markets. MPS has the ability to custom tailor print services down to a cost-per-seat billing model as well as introduce a greater degree of control over print environments. Both of these options bring considerable cost savings through flexibility and responsible use of company resources. Document Solutions products like Laserfiche and M-Files are powerful tools introduce the possibility of overall print reduction by providing secure, organized and automated document management solutions through customized software suites specific to the clients’ business needs.
